I decided to install the baggage floor stiffeners using flush rivets. I did this because it is easier to clean a smooth surface should oil or something be spilled in the baggage compartment....and because I think flush rivets look better...even when located where you can't see them..Ha, Ha. Anyway, I used 3/32 rivets spaced 1.25 inches apart for each stiffener. I dimpled each hole and primed the faying surfaces. Then I back-riveted the assembly. This panel is the first thing I have riveted on the Nexus. It felt good to make riveting noises again in my garage! The actual riveting process is really fast compared to all the prep work. Total time to shoot all the rivets was about 20 minutes.
