Brief Description: Wing outboard Access panels and LE cleaning
Cut holes in the outboard wing panel lower skins for access to the aileron bellcrank and inboard-to-outboard pushrod attach point. Once the holes were cut, the access panel itself and back-up rings were fabricated. Some of this hardware is shown in image 1. Image 2 shows cleaning the leading-edge skin in preparation for dimpling. Cleaning is needed for the sealant to adhere well in upcoming processes. The cleaning involves scotchbrite and detergent. It is much easier to clean around all the holes before the dimpling process is performed, so, now is the time.
