Brief Description:  Main Fuel Cell

Fuel Cell side next to seat prep for gluing foam. The black closed cell foam on edges of cell would not lay flat to follow curve. Use some old duct tape that I don’t use anymore because it doesn’t stick to anything. Funny thing is that it sticks to foam just enough and sticks very well to tank.

Do not use good duct tape because it will stick to foam and never let go without taking chucks with it.

Used heat gun at 3 to 4 feet away to get foam to lay flat and keep the curve. Now I know you do not have to go to all this trouble to use 3M spray adhesive to glue the foam to the tank, but I’m always experimenting with different ways to do things.

Cell drain put in first. Dropped into fill spout and shook to bottom. Long screwdriver thru outlet lined it up and pushed it in. Now for the main outlet I used an old motorcycle cable into the outlet to the fill spout. Dropped O-Ring bushing onto cable down it went. Now that was slick. Do not use any goop fuel lube on any of the fitting on the cell. Everything dry fit. Installed all other fittings & side fuel level.

Cell needs to be flush with small amount of fuel to clean. This will be the last item before mounting to frame.
