Time to finsh up all these little nits on plan page 33. I won't need these flap control rods until the flaps are mounted on the wings and the wings are mounted on the plane but.....I started but using a tubing cutter to cut the tubes to 4 and 7/8 inches. I don't know if I mentioned before how much better the tubing cutter works on cutting any of the aluminum tubes instead of using the band saw and cleaning up with the grinder.Next I drilled with a #3 tap bit down to 1 inch deep. Then I used a 1/4 28 thread tap to cut the threads for the rod end bearings. Both ends of the rod end up with bearings that are 1/4 but I can't locate the 2 with studs in them. Must be with some wing parts somewhere. Funny how as the parts left to use gets smaller they seem to get harder to find.Installed the lock nuts on the bearings and screwed them into the rods. Cleaned em up with the scotchbrite pad and ready to go!
