Brief Description: Primed HS Spars
|

Today I scrubbed the HS Spars with Pre-Kote, brought them back into the garage, and primed them. The quickest part is always the spraying, but the metal prep, epoxy-mixing, and equipment clean-up will always consume several hours.
I now have enough primed to fully assemble the VS, and to rivet together the various stiffeners of the Horizontal Stabilizer (HS) spars.
I like this green color, and it looks good against the brass-colored rivets and the white hinge mounts. These surfaces will be exposed at the hinges, and I like the way it's going to look.
Tonight, I need to build wooden cradles for the Horizontal Stabilizer. Those spars are very long, and I’ll need to assemble it facing down, so that looking at the HS from the side it makes a "U" shape. The cradles will hold the assembly in place.
