Brief Description:  Riveted Vertical Stabilizer skin

After letting the primer cure, I riveted together the front half of the vertical stabilizer, and riveted the aft spar of the vertical stabilizer. The aft spar required dimpling and attaching a stiffener, so that took a bit longer.

The rest of the structure required holding absolutely still while I used a hand squeezer to rivet together. I tried one rivet and realized I needed Kayla's help, and she was more than willing. I brought it indoors, placed it on the carpet, clamped it together, and went to work while she put her weight on it pressing the frame into the carpet. She really is awesome.

I have a few patches to fix on the priming job. The sprayer needs its pressure regulator replaced, and the AKZO epoxy is a little bit too thick to atomize fully, so thinner is now on order. I would have thought any thinner would do, but that's not the case in aerospace applications.

After primer fixes, the next steps are: Dimple the holes that connect to the skin, dimple the skin, and rivet to this structure. The aft spar is the last to attach with rivets, but I'll leave it off until I get a technical inspector to take a look at the internals. For now, it's just cleco'd.
