Brief Description:  Vertical Stabilizer

Despite ruining the front spar on the Vertical Stabilizer (VS) and waiting for the new pieces to ship, I could still continue on the rest of the set, up until the skins gets attached.

The steps on this entry literally only required clekoing, match drilling, and deburring. Yet these tedious processes took about 2.5 hours. No matter though, I've got all the time in the world to finish the empennage. I'm in zero rush to order the next kit. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

I cleko'd with 3/32" cleckos (silver) first, then match-drilled the holes I didn't cleko. Once that was done, I secured those holes with 1/8" clekos (copper), removed the silver ones, and match drilled those.

I continued on in this manner until I had the Vertical Stabilizer internal structure completely cleko'd together. Next step will be to wrap skin, cleko, match drill, disassemble everything, deburr, prime, reassemble, and rivet. Since the structure needs the new front spar, these steps will have to wait until it's delivered and assembled.

I returned later to cut and deburr several rudder pieces. Nothing assembled yet.
