Last weekend, I re-formed the rudder stiffeners by cutting rectangular pieces into long triangular pieces, then deburring everything and priming.
Over the weekend, I primed the insides of the rudder skins and the two horizontal stabilizer skins.
I followed the same instructions as I did before with the rudder, cleco-ing the stiffeners to the skins and installing the un-primed trailing edge. It's the only silver part in the picture below.
This trailing edge was the same one used last time, so it still had the proper perpendicular drill holes through it. I just had to match the skins. I final-drilled every hole on both skins, then completely disassembled the rudder. I then dimpled every part, and dimpled one of the two skins.
The second skin can wait until I get back to the garage. After that, I'll back-rivet the stiffeners to the skins.
