Brief Description: Directional control final adjustments
Worked on final setting of directional control. First adjusted for cable travel of 2 5/8" as couldn't get 2 7/8". Then set blade pitch. When setting blade pitch, found that when I installed the AN3 bolt that held the cable end weldment at the tail rotor, I had left off the upper washer. This made the bottom of the bolt hit the pithch control linkage. Installed a washer and now I can get the 2 7/8" travel. Had limited the positive pitch to 23.6 degrees when I thought that there wasn't enough travel. Now I need to readjust everything.
