The OAT probe needs to be away from exhaust heat, out of sunlight and placing in under a wing is a good location. I chose the right wing and immediately outbd of the first access panel. I made a doubler plate of .063 aluminum and riveted this to the skin. I then drilled the hole for the probe. I am running the shielded wire inbd to a CPC connector so that if I need to disconnect the wing, that will be possible.
