Began work on the filter air box. The top lid needs to essentially conform to the fiberglas. When I placed it onto the carbuerator the fwd end needed to be bent upward so that it was flush with the upper edge of the cowl inlet. I fluted the flange of the upper lid to get it to curve upward. When I attached the fiberglas box the cowl inlet is nearly perfect. Since this is a vertical fuel injection, the arm of the left side of the carbuerator interfers with the FAB. Therefore it is necessary to decide where to place the recess in the FAB so the arm is not interfered with. Then cautious trimming of upper lid and fiberglas box gets the shape that is necessary.
