Cut back and then filed the aft cowl so that it fits into the groove on the firewall. In order to slide the lower cowl on and off, I placed carpet on the landing strut to protect the painted surface. Used jacks to hold the lower cowl in place for fitting. Needed to have Shawn Cogan help with putting on, fitting, then taking off, over and over the lower cowl. Used 1/8 inch space between cowl and spinner.
