Brief Description:  Firewall Fwd

Began installing the firewall forward structures. I had already installed the oil cooler box as I understood it was easier before installing the engine mount. It helps to have the firewall fwd kit and begin installation of some parts before closing over the upper fwd skin that contains the instrument panel. In fact I have installed the cabin top, will finish the doors and then install the cabin and door windows. I plan to install the upper fwd skin after I get the engine mounted out just shortly before. I stalled the mount for the oil and fuel pressure transducers which will come with the EFIS. The oil pressure line was installed and held in place with Adele clamps. Also installed the cables to actuate the heater boxes. The plans show an Adele clamp on top of the heater boxes to secure the cables. However mine did not come with Adele clamps. The heater boxes had previously been installed on the firewall. I was going to install the Adele clamps to hold the heater cable with a nut and bolt, but decided it was best to install a nut plate on the heater boxes and screw the Adele clamp into place. This will be easier to remove the Adele clamp when the engine is in place. I drilled the holes in the firewall to install the engine mount. Just follow the directions.
