Brief Description:  Fitting the doors

I finished sanding the doors to get them to fit within the frame of the cabin opening. It was necessary to trim back further the lip around the cabin top door opening so the doors would set flush against the cabin surface. Used an orbital sander and just uniformly and slowly removed material around the perimeter. The final touches were made by sliding a black felt marker along the edges that overlapped the cabin top and sanding off the felt marker line. The cabin hinges don't follow the plans directions. The portion of the hinge that attaches to the cabin top needs to slant slightly toward the center of the door. WHen you look at the hinge you will recognize the slant. The part of the hinge that attaches to the door needs to slant away from the center of the door. Again this is evident looking at that portion of the hinge. The plans describe how to attach the left hinge and say to do the same for the right, however if you don't pay attention to the slants noted above, the hinges won't be installed correctly. The pictures in the figures are correct.
