Brief Description: horizontal stabelizer and elevators
Received the Cherry Max rivets from Van's today so I could finish the horizontal stabelizer. I had neglected to rivet the spar web to the inboard ribs and stringers and the most outboard rivets could not be driven. Options were a structural screw or Cherry Max rivets. I used the latter with good success. I installed the rear spar and riveted it into place with pull rivets to the inspar ribs and driven flush rivets to secure the skin to the spar. I used my new pneumatic rivet squeezer. Very sweet. Big time saver. Finished deburring one to the disassembled elevators. Next is to match drill the other elevator and debur those holes.
