Brief Description: Rudder and Horizontal Stabelizer
Continued working on the skins of the rudder and securing the stiffeners. Had difficulty with the last aft rivet in the lower rib. A very tight space. After trial and error with a manufactured Vise Grip tool which didn't work, trying to drive with a 3/32 punch and having to remove the rivet, I used advice from a VAF writer. I placed the back riveting plate under the outside skin with AD3-3.5 rivet in place. Then I slid a wood chisel between the narrow flanges of the rib and used the back riveting driver on the chisel near the rib. It worked perfectly. The opposite flange will rivet to the left skin and will use a blind rivet for that. Began deburring the edges of the horizontal stabelizer spar and stiffener.
