"Yesterday & today, I stripped the wing sections back down to the skeleton to prep for final assembly.
- Hole & edge deburred all 4 top skins. and wing walk doublers. - Scarfed / thinned skins at the skin overlap joint at the main spar to create a nice blended joint. - Started counter-sinking the main spar for the skin dimples.
It sure is nice to have the tanks behind me. All of this other work now seems to go really fast now. Depending on the weather & Kim's Dad visit this weekend, I should be ready to start final assembly the weekend of May 11th. We shall see. I still need to install the leading edge landing light lenses. And do some wiring for the lights thenselves."
