Brief Description: Rudder Stiffeners Continued - 2
No pitures for this post as there is just not much more to see at this point. Between yesterday and today, I finshed up contouring the left side stiffeners, matchdrilled all stiffeners to the rudder skins (left & Right), hole deburred and dimpled the stiffeners, and started edge deburring the rudder skeleton components. I hope to have the whole rudder assembly ready to pre-kote & prime on Sunday. I'm trying to wait on priming the skins and stiffeners till I have the whole rudder assembly match drilled. We shall see how it goes. Saturday, I'm planning on going out to cobb county airport to help Brian & Brandi mount the wings on their RV-10. Hopefully it wont take all day! :-) They are on more of time crunch then I am. I have 5-6 years till I'll be mounting my wings and they are trying to get their plane airworthly, phase one flight testing complete before Oshkosh in 2 months and fly up to airventure in the -10.... I hope they can make it!!! 40 hours flight testing is no short & simple feat!
