Wow!!!!! What an exciting, exhausing and unexpected day!!!!! This past weekend while I was having a Pro-Seal marathon, we found out that Addison was breech so Kim and I were agonizing whether or not to have this proceedure done where they turn the baby by hand from the outside by pushing her around. OUCH! Seems like a lot of trauma for both mom & baby... I didn't like the sounds of that option. Nonetheless, Kim & I couldn't come to a "gut" feeling on the matter but doctor had us schedule the proceedure for Tuesday anyway. With this lack of certainty as to how to handle this delem, a follow up appt. was scheduled this morning 10:30am to see if Addison turned on her own and to further discuss the option of manually turning her. Last evening at about 11:00 PM I decided to go with Kim to the appt and head to work later in the moring.... While I was in the shower this morning getting ready, my gut was really telling me NOT to have the "turning thing done". I simply don't like it! I told Kim about this gut feeling as we were wlking into the Docotor's office. Well, It turned out that Addison was footling breech so turning her was not an option. Whew! I thought and we started scheduling a c-section for the 15th... Well, Addison had different plans... After scheduling the c-section the Dr did a quick exam and found that Kim was already dialated 4+ cm. The Dr. Tore up the scheduled c-section paper and sent us directly over to labor & delivery for a c-section by 2:37pm I was holding my baby girl so kim could see her while the doctors closed her back up... I'm at a lose for words.... I'm just so happy to have my Lil' co-pilot here and she is absolutely beautiful just like her mom!!!
