Brief Description: Atlanta Flight Standards District Office
Today I called the Atlanta FISDO to let them know my intentions and to get a feeling for what the FAA looks for in terms of airworthiness certifications for experimental aircraft, any caveats in the Atlanta District etc. Fortunately, I was talking to the right man, John Palmer, a three-time kit builder / offender. John was a really great guy and took the time to give me a lot pointers to make my build / certification / paper work go smoothly. We discussed things like having EAA tech counselors inspecting my work at various stages of my build. He supplied me with the appropriate Advisory Circulars (ACs) pertaining to Experimental Aircraft. Overall, awesome info and advice. Thanks John.
