Brief Description: Final closed right tank (right tank done)
It's been a few days since I've done any real work here.... This right fuel tank was my second tank & closing up the rear baffle and final work was MUCH tougher than the left tank. I declare the right to be my problem child.... Nonetheless, she is all done, permanently closed up & ready to pressure test. Fingers Crossed!!!! There is only one area that concerns me on this tank. It's the outboard rib / rear baffle seam. there is not as big of a bead of sealant here ans a small section that doesn't appear to have much of a bead at all... If it proves to be an issue, I just cut an access panel in the out board rib & patch it up. Who knows, I tend to go over-board anyway; so we'll see when I pressure test it at 1 PSI later this week. At this point, Ive gone through 2 & 1/2 quarts of PPG desoto 890-b2. Granted, I have had a bit of waste with botched sessions & the pneumatic sealant gun carteridges do tend to leave a decent amount of unusables.
