Brief Description: Christmas Bucket - Drilling the fuel cap hole
I measured a bunch of times on this cut. All the work I put in to getting the leading edge in place could be wasted with one bad measurement. I did it exactly the way Zenith suggested. It worked well. One thing that may present a problem is the angle of the threaded hole for the fuel filler. I believe the top of the tank warped a bit when it was welded. By packing cork on top of the tank seemed to pull the filler flange into position. I'll call Zenith tomorrow for their suggestion.
Fly cutter. A long drill and a thick piece of wood helped hold everything stable.
I rather be lucky than good.
Angle of the flange with reference to the tank top.
