Marked and cut a piece of 1/8" 6061-T6 for backing plate for mounting of the Prius pump to the firewall. Sand and deburr edges with Scotchbrite wheel. Sprayed machinist bluing on face to transfer hole locations. Drilled center holes, using alignment tool to locate 1/4" nutplate mounting hole. Upsized mounting bolt through-holes to allow for misalignment. Drilled, countersunk, and mounted nutplates with solid flush rivets.
