I received my new armored rubber hoses yesterday afternoon. I got Stratoflex 111 hose to replace the Parker plastic lines that came in the kit. I'm going to be putting in a nice interior so I didn't want cheapo-looking brake lines, plus I think the 111 lines will last longer/be less likely to leak on my carpeting.
So, with the hoses in hand I set about installing them. The attaching to the cylinders was pretty easy, but anchoring the mid-point was surprisingly a little more complicated. I had to first figure out where I wanted to mount it and then craft a mounting to hold the hoses firm. I made a little angle that has a nutplate riveted to it.
I finished up the installation and checked the athe hoses didn't bind or chafe anywhere through the full range of motion.
