Spent time today getting the rudder pedals closer to being finished. Torqued down the UHMW blocks on both ends and in the midlle of the arms. While I was doing that I noticed that the arms have some bits that aren't powder coated like the rest. Since they're steel, they had a light haze of rust forming on them. I buffed it off and applied some corrosion-x to the bare metal to keep it from rusting again. (Put it on my list to check during annuals).
I also installed the brake lines from the master cylinders to the unions that connect to the hardlines running to the calipers. The picture shows them pretty loose--they'll be cinched up when I install the other lines. Speaking of which, I'm not going to use the tubing that came with the kit. I'll be installing Aeroquip 303 hose--just a preference I have. Anyway, got the measurements today and will order the hoses.
