Haven't been to the hangar for at least a month; but, managed to get out four times in the last 8 days. Just one entry for those...
I spent most of the time measuring and positioning the windscreen between making adjusting cuts--very time consuming. The goal was to get the windscreen to fit the fuselage shape and line up nicely with the rollbar and the sliding portion of the canopy. After all of the on-and-off, I've got it pretty nicely aligned and fitted.
The last bit I tackled was to fabricate some clips that hold down the sides to the fuselage. There was a slight outward bow (1/4") to the sides of the windscreen that no amount of trimming was going to account for. So, I filed a couple of angled slots into the windscreen to accept the clips. I'll rivet the clips to the fuslage skin. They'll get covered by the fiberglass fairing later.
