Brief Description:  Aft Bulkhead Area

After such a long break, took a while to get into my groove. Had trouble getting my mind into metal working and airplane building.

I fabricated the tie down mount and drilled it to the aft bulk head assembly. Then I positioned it and back-drilled it to the aft bulkhead. Took it all apart and prepped and primed the bracket.

Installed the aft bulkhead to the longerons, stiffeners, and skin. Then riveted the bracket to the bulkhead. I left the holes open for the aft vertical stabilizer spar attachment (the spar mount bolts pass thru the bracket). Later on, I'll drill the holes in the spar by using a transfer punch to locate the holes and then drill it on my bench. There just isn't enough room to even get an angle drill in that compartment, let alone drill straight. But, that comes later.

Also installed the inspection plates on the left and right of the compartment.

Still need to devise a way of protecting the power lines running back to the strobe and navlight. They are sandwiched in between the tie-down bracket and the skin. Too close for comfort. Maybe some heatshrink...
