These are basically 3 strips of metal that are riveted to the seatback brace and provide a friction grip on the seat bracket to hold it in position. It took longer to build these than I thought.
Picture 1 shows the strips from the end. The plate is bent at a 4 degree angle down and the gap between the plate and the aft angle bracket is .040" to provide a nice grip. An old-timer who used to have a hangar a few doors down gave me a small metal bending brake a while back. It really came in handy--again.
Got both sides fabricated and primed. Tomorrow, I'll rivet them into place.
