Brief Description:  Windshield trimming, side Z channel

The last few days Dean and I worked on the windshield and top sun roof. We trimmed the sides of the windshield, fitted the Z channel and drilled #40 holes. We first drilled the holes in the Z to size #40. Then used an acrylic #40 bit through the plexiglass, then back to a normal #40 bit through the cage. We expanded the plexiglass holes to 1/4" using a unibit. At the top of the windshield we applied some heat to get the glass to lay down better. We fit the sunroof and found the rear needed to be trimmed about 25mm. We did this with a cutoff wheel. Today I trimmed the channel that goes between the sunroof and windshield. I laid out a line on the windshield portion where 8x 8-32 screws will go. On the rear part of the channel I laid out 18 locations for rivets.
