Brief Description:  DAR inspection and first flight

Haven't been posting in a while because basically the build is over and the first flight was done. Had the inspection on May 9 and the aircraft passed. Joe Ware was my DAR and he briefed me on my 40 hour flyoff and area. After that we still needed to accomplish a few things and wait for a perfect weather day. That happened on Sunday, June 9 here at KCXO. We showed up to the airport early on a beautiful morning with virtually no wind. The Cruzer flew great and I basically orbited the airport at 2000' and ran the first flight card of the new EAA test program. Flew just under an hour. The only problem was the aileron trim did not work and the elevator trim was wired backwards. The engine and avionics worked flawlessly. My wife took videos and Deano did the grunt work for the launch. From the rudder build at Zenith to the first flight took 4 years. Its been fun, challenging, at times frustrating, but all told great.
