Brief Description:  Calibrated left tank

Proceeded to procure 10 more gallons of 100LL fuel in containers to add to the 5 gallons already in the left tank. Drained the tank and got a rough estimation of fuel flow- took 1 min 17 seconds for 1 gallon to drain. The Skyview calibration called for 1 gallon pours up to the tank max of 15 gal. Started the calibration but discovered that the voltage did not change after each 1 gallon pour. It stayed at 2.76 volts indicating that the fuel sender was not working. A few choice words followed. About this time Deano showed up and after some checking with the volt meter he discovered that we had wired the tanks opposite. The left tank was wired to the right gauge and so forth. So we changed the calibration to the right tank, drained the left and started over. This time it worked as advertised. We had no change to the voltages until the start of the fifth pour which would be our "0." On up to 15 gallons we had a steady decrease in voltage. Fifteen gallons showed as 14+. It takes a while to do the calibration but at least one tank is done. Haven't decided if I will pull the sender off the tank and rebend it or just compensate. Also, confirmed that the low level fuel light from the Skytec worked which is a relief.
