Today we trimmed both the bottom and top cowl halves to fit better. After many trial and error fittings of the bottom cowl we finally got it to fit. After achieving the gap at the spinner and a symmetrical fit and appearance we drilled 4 #40 holes and inserted clecoes. Once the clecoes were in the cowl was stable. We put some shrink wrap on the windscreen to protect it as we put the top cowl in place. We marked the sides of the top cowl to marry up with the bottom cowl and drew a line across the top. Then we trimmed the rear of the top cowl which allowed it to fit in place. Had to trim a bit more to achieve a better fit. Still a work in progress.
