Today it was over 100 degrees in the hangar but we soldiered through it. Dean put his engineering eye on the problems I was having with the door linkeage. Turns out the handle and mid latch were working fine except for a bit of filing on the inside handle tang. The rear latch pin needed to be shortened which we did but it also required that we turn the pinguide around. That gave us more support for the shortened pin. Dean also filed the fuselage skin next to the rear pin angle because it was rubbing the door. We then drilled the holes for the ball joint on the door for the gas lift. Door works just fine now. Will add the door latch half way up on the leading edge to keep the door from bowing out. We then moved on to the pilot door and trimmed it to fit behind the Z channel.
