Today we checked a few more wires and the time had come to power up the Skyview HDX. After connecting the positive wire to the battery and taking a deep breath, we switched the master switch and Skyview switch on. Pushing the Skyview button for 2 sec and voila we had a Dynon HDX screen. Overjoyed to not see smoke! We brought the sub panels on line and then started configuring the system. We only had a couple of problems. The autopilot servos were not found basically because I had not inserted the power and ground wires into the plug. No voltage was displayed on the skyview until we connected a volt wire from the EMS to the battery. It now displays. The Aux Fuel Pump light illuminates all the time but that was caused by a wire on the wrong switch post. I will correct that tomorrow and continue with configuration. Also installed the seat cushions as it will be easier to configure sitting in the aircraft.
