Brief Description:  Fit and cut windshield

It has been almost a month since my last post. My computer hard drive died and I ended up rebuilding my whole computer. Thankfully, I have carbonite and had everything backed up. The downside was that it has taken a week and a half to restore my new hard drive. In any event I am back in business. Since my last entry on Mar 3rd I have been working steadily. I installed the parking brake and did the plumbing. I realized that the sides of the tunnel needed to be painted black so I did that. Built the glove box.. Sited the switches and knobs that will be on the console front panel. Have not drilled the holes yet but will soon. Put a lot of thought into the power panel and bus wiring for my electrical and Dynon system. I have acquried the help of a very talented electronic guy from my EAA group and he is going to be very helpful. We have decided on an EXBus II power panel with an additional fuse panel. Had the engine mount powder coated and completed the layout of the instrument panel. Installed and drilled the holes for the top skin and mounted the instrument panel. My goal for the top skin was to cut out the holes for the NACA vents but found I needed to know exactly the perimeter of the windshield. So, I mounted and windshield and then cut off the excess. I am satisfied with the fit of the shield so tomorrow I should be able to cutout the NACAs. I will also contine with the drilling of the holes for the windshield and will then fit the sun roof. I will include pics over the next several entries.
