Brief Description: Lightening Hole Jig 3000 part II
I completed the nose section of the flanging jig. Form blocks are sized to match the backing block, not the master block. A flanged rib fits perfectly over the block. I used my router table for most of the shaping and a fly cutter for the plugs and upper alignment block holes.
A 45 degree bevel, 3/8" long, was routed to both sides of the middle block. That will allow for both left and right hand ribs. The middle block is screwed to the lower, backing block.
I could have made smaller individual flange blocks instead of one large one, but it was just as easy to me to do it this way.
Flanges match perfectly
Full Compression. Clamps are only until I buy longer 3/16" hardware.
