Decided to give the file a go instead of the die grinder. The file seemed to work pretty well to break the edges, but took a while to round the ends of the bracket. I had to go over it with the scotch brite wheel to smooth it out.
I also attempted to bend the bracket to 6 degrees on each end. I have a digital level, but without a sturdy surface it was hard to measure with it. I think my next attempt will be the simple approach. I'm going to draw out the angle on a peice of paper and try to bend it to that.
::Update:: the strike at Lockheed has started and I started working daily and put in over 70 hours a week. The plane project has been on hold.
