Brief Description:  HS-714 Taper Detail

After a slow day of work, I was excited to get working on the horizontal stabilizer again. I didn't do much work today, but I want to make sure I stay at it. I am now realizing I need some source of music in the garage, or the work gets pretty boring. Next purchase for the RV-7 build will definitely be a little boom box.

All I did today was work on the taper detail of HS-714. It doesn't look like I did much, but I'm happy with the progress I made today. Before, I was experimenting on how best to complete this step. Today, I tried using the scotch-brite wheel on my bench grinder, but I found a simple vixen file get me there faster. I still used the scotch-brite wheel to polish it up and make minor improvements.

Also, for those that are unfamiliar with kit building, the FAA requires documentation to show I was actually the builder of this aircraft. I technically have to complete 51% of the aircraft. You will see lots of odd pictures with me in it, but it's mainly for documentation. Todays picture turned out better than I was expecting.

Looks like next time, I'll try to finish up the taper detail on the other side of HS-714.
