I ordered the optional fwd Avionics Tray from Jim Ratte, The SeaRey Specialist. High quailty part BTW!
It is designed to fit over the the forward bulkhead, with four AN3 bolts. The rear & sides mounts/supports are left up to the builder.
So my plan is to mount/reinforce the tray at four separate locations, with the major load bearing mounts at the rear corners. For the center, I fabricated two straps that attach to the top opf the heater.
These center locations are not intended to support the full weight & loads from the tray, they are there merely as braces. My next task is to fabricate the main supports at the corners out of some scrap angle, and attach directly to the fwd stringers.
