Brief Description:  Baggage, Fuel Quan, Airframe Misc

Caught up on some miscellaneous items:

- Section 05: Installed the elastic cord to the Baggage Area Floor Panels
- Sections 23/24: Permanently installed & sealed the following fittings/ports/outlets to the hull/turtledeck: Fuel Filler, Fuel Vent, Fuel Sump, Bilge Pump. They had reviously just been fitted, but not sealed & tightened
- Section 59: Fuwl Quantity Sender. This was a confusing issue. One of the remaining "gremlins" from the initial electrical system check-out & power-up, was the fuel quantity. I am using a Mitchell fuel guage, with the float sender provided by PA.
When I powered up the electrical system, the fuwl quantity was reading approximately 1/4 tank,, which is an obvious problem as the tank is bone dry.
I have the newer 24 Gal plastic tank, and part of teh install process has the builder modify the supplied sender, to fit the tank. I followed those directions to the letter and suspected that there may be an electrical/grounding issue with the erroneous fuel quantity.
So I put off tracking down the issue,, until today. Checked the wiring and connected a "dummy" guage to the Mitchell, and guess what,,? Guage worked as advertised. I imediately suspected that perhaps the float was bottoming out on the tank. Fortunately, I have a borescope with a flexible arm and fished it through the filler port. Suspicion verified,, float clearly resting on the tank bottom.

I removed the sender, VERIFIED that I had modified the sender correctly (I had),, took some measurements from the tank (ie; depth from the sender port), and made the required adjustments to the float arm.

Works great now, and the float, when empty, now just barely clears the bottom of the tank.

Not sure what went wrong with PA and those directions,,

Fortunately, an easy fix!
