Brief Description: Tie down brackets and rear spar.
With a new band saw blade - this one actually cuts straight! - I have finished off cutting the tie down spacers from bar stock, and making sure the tie down brackets themselves are to length.
I also cut and shaped the rear spar inner doubler plates, since the parts are the same for the RV-7 and the thinner-fuselage RV-8, so for the RV-7 they require reducing in size. A slightly complex measuring job is required.
Still got the brackets to drill out for the attachment bolts, nutplates and tap the hole to accept the tie down ring itself.
I also clamped the outboard and middle rear spar strengthening doublers in place and drilled the rivet holes to sixe, deburred everything and cut/shaped the hole oin the middle spacer to the same size as the hole in the rear spar itself; through this hole will pass the aileron control pushrod.
