Brief Description: LH and RH spar inspection nutplates
Each wing undersurface has 3 inspection panels held on to the spar by #6 nutplates. These nutplates are prepared and attached in a similar manner to thaose for the fuel tabk attachments recently done, and today was spent drilling, countersinking and riveting the required nutplates. Each panel has 4 screws arttaching it to the spar (and another 8 x #8 screws attaching it to the ribs. So preparing each spar required 36 holes to be drilled out (3 per nutplate) - that is 72 in total for both wings.
Also done in this period was the dimpling of the inspection panels themselves.
