Brief Description: Completed back-riveting LH elevator skin
Tonight was spent finishing off riveting the stiffeners on the elevator skin, marking up where the edge tabs will be folded in due course when the trim tab is fitted, and back riveting on the reinforcement plate for the electric trim servo - including riveting on nutplates where the servo mounting attaches.
Fairly straightforward, although for some reason I decided to fit the reinforcement plate *before* attaching the nutplates to it. No big deal, except that attaching the nutplates is now rather more fiddly than it needed to be. The plans call for them to be riveted to the reinforcement plate before the plate is back-riveted to the skin.
Apparently reading the plans is a good idea - who knew?
See the yellow plate? There should be nutplates riveted to that...
