So, aftre an excellent day at the LAA Rally with Tom (1:15 either way in the Jodel to/from Sywell), it was back to the problem of the loose rivet on the skin stiffener.
The first thing I did was to drill out that rivet, and also the two rivets that had previously been used to attach the elevator skin to the counterbalance skin, and whihc need to be set early since they will be "blind" once the rest of the structre is in place ready for riveting in due course.
With Tom's extra pair of hands, replacing the stiffener rivet and setting it usinng rivet gun and bucking bar was nice and easy.
Less easy was re-setting the two skin-ot-skin rivets but after a fair amount of cursing and perseverance I finally got to them using the pneumatic squeezer./
Success! As somebody at the Rally told me "There's *always* a way..." :-)
