So, back after a rather extended lay-off from the build - over 18 months. Hey ho.
A change in personal circumstances has caused this, in that I resigned from my salaried employment of 27 years and set up my own Consultancy company.
Not surprisingly, that has taken a fair amount of time out of my daily/weekly/monthl;y/yearly (!) schedule, but now things seem to be fairly stable and so it's back into the workshop and crack on.
The first job is to prime the right elevator parts I last touched early in 2012. Priming still holds worries for me, and so to start in easily I chose not to work with the 2 part primer that I have been using up to now (and will use again in the future), and simply used a rattle can from LAS Aero.
That worked well - but is far too expensive for long term use - and before long all the parts that needed to be primed or touched up were done.
It was SO satisfying to be engaging with all that aluminium in the garage again. Here's hoping things will continue to progress well.
