Brief Description:  Drill stiffeners to RH elevator skin

A simple job for Christmas Eve: Now that the stiffeners have been fbricated, it is time to match drill them to the elevator skin. This is the same process as used on the rudder. The appropriate pre-punched holes are aligned and then the stiffeners and skins are match drilled together with a piece of sacrificial MDF underneath. As each hole is drilled, it is cleco'd ineo the MDFto keep the whole thing aligned.

The main difference from the rudder is that the elevator skin is a single piece, unlike the rudder which has separate skins for each side. This means that drilling the aft-most holes requires a right-angled drill to get into the space, and that the skin obviously needs to be turned over in order to drill both sides.
