Brief Description: Plumb Transmission and Install Tailboom
Took the day off from work and made some progress. Finished up the drain line for the transmission. I need to make a breather, looking for aluminum weld on flanges. Let me know if you know where to get them.
I decided to go ahead and put the tail on. Did it by myself, not the best way but not to bad either. I did put the tubeseal in and hopefully got it everywhere. The really good news is that it fits in the garage with a few inches to spare. I took some measurements but you never know. FYI the garage is 25' deep.
I tried to install the pillow block bearings on the drive shaft. Not even close. I pulled out my Sunnen hone and went to work, Still not even close on the first one. Do you guys beat them on?
I found the transmission instructions. It say to install the drain fitting while it is laying down. This keeps you from having to drain it. It pay to read the instructions.
