Brief Description:  Install Bulkhead Penetration

Back to the grind. Spent the last several days in Jackson Hole Wyoming escaping the heat. Did some fly fishing and made my first trip to Yellowstone. What an amazing place. If you have a limited amount of time to spend I recommend hiring a guide from the Teton Science School. They are a non-profit and do a great job.

I saw these bulkhead penetrators at OshKosh and decided they were the way to go. I just wish I had found them earlier. I will need to re-run all of my wires on my lower penetration, PITA. They are an "eyeball" and rotate up to 50 degrees. The hole through the middle comes in standard sizes but may be enlarged easily with a drill press. They should be tight enough to provide strain relief.

I plan to put long lengths of heat shrink tubing on each set of wires.

With the relocation of the electronics come more problems. Many of the wires that go through this fitting are too short. PITA. I ran out of wire need to go to the avionics shop. The good news is that since I just had them install a G600 and RVSM in my Conquest II they treat me pretty well and I get lots of free advice.
