Brief Description: Remove and Refinish Instrument Pod and Floor
Well I finally quit procrasinating. I have the new bubble but I did a lot of damage with the paint stripper that needs to be fixed. Also MGL Avionics sent me the proper OAT probe. NOTE a Westach OAT probe will not work with their Air Data Computer.
Naturally it is mounted under the floor. To get there 1. Remove the bubble 2. Remove the Instrument Pod 3. Remove the Instrument Pod Support 4. Remove the floor
It actually takes much longer to do it than it take to write this. All the instrument wiring had to be taken loose and fed through holes etc. PITA. Photo 1 is the end result
I cleaned up the Pod, support and floor and reshot with bed liner. This time I did the inside of the instrument pod. No one will ever see it but it looks much better see Photo 2. I will let it dry overnight, install the OAT probe then reinstall everything.
