Brief Description:  Spray Lat Bubble, Build Trailer Brackets

I finally figured out how to get the stuff off the bubble. Steve Michael suggested that the product was called Spray Lat. I did a little research and came to the same conclusion. I made calls both to the Bubble Manufacturer (who applied it) and to Spray Lat Corp, to see if they had any ideas. No return calls from either one.

I ordered a quart of Spray Lat from Spruce. While waiting for it to show up I decided to try some of the "citrus latex paint remover" that is available from Home Depot. I tested on a small area and could detect no adverse problems with the plastic. I used it on the outside of the bubble. As you would expect it creates an awful mess. The stuff smears and takes several applications to get it completely off. It works but I will not be using it again.

As I make that prediction however, I remember that the inside of the bubble feels like sand paper. I don't know if it is sand size piece of Spray Lat that are still attached or if is crap that they sprayed over. The paint remover works well on this stuff.

The Spray Lat showed up and I brushed it on in a 1 sq ft area. I left it sit over Christmas and attacked it when I got back. Sure enough it sticks to the original application and build the film up thick enough to pull it off. I wish I had done this week ago.

Photo 1 shows how thick I brushed it on. You cannot put it on to thick. The smear on the left is some of the stripper that I still need to get off. Still hard to do but it is doable, where before if was impossible.
